The seated nude was created in the 1970s on behalf of a renowned watch brand as a welcoming figure for their new building in Grenchen. Crafted from solid bronze, it captivates with its timeless design and unique charisma.
After more than 50 years, the building must now be demolished for renovation – and with it this piece of Bernese contemporary history. The sculpture was created by the renowned sculptor Walter Schnegg (1903–1990) , who created numerous significant works in public spaces in the Bern region and is considered a leading figure in Swiss post-war art.
A true cultural object with history – we would be delighted if this lady found a new, stylish home.
