Historisches Stöckli

Historic Stöckli

In picturesque Seftigen stands a small house whose 17th-century facade and peasant paintings were marked by the passing of time. The owners sought experts who could preserve these treasures.

We dedicatedly restored the lettering on the facade and discovered a forgotten Keimsche dry-curtain painting. Using delicate techniques, we brought it to life and added missing lettering. The artistic flourish was copied onto architect's paper to preserve it for future generations.

At the same time, we restored a 19th-century baroque built-in wardrobe with folk paintings. The doors were carefully refitted, and the damaged baseboards and interior surfaces were re-stabilized. We reconstructed the painting with an oil finish, while the locks were also repaired to ensure functionality.

Thanks to this careful work, the Stöckli once again shone in its full splendor and preserved its valuable heritage for future generations.
