Description: Two-part trumeau with original mirror glass in the lower third. In the upper two-thirds of the height there is a fitted, rectangular painting crowned by a flat segmental arch. The mythological love scene in an ideal landscape shows the seduction of the moon goddess Selene by the shepherd god Pan. The banter that takes place is accompanied at the couple's feet, where a small child faun tries to wake a sleeping Erote with sweet grapes. These, together with the other fruit and the empty wine jug, indicate the cult of Dionysus, to which Pan belonged. Beautiful original wooden frame carved and gilded with bandwork. The painting shows slight color breaks.

Dimensions: 182 x 89 x 4 cm
